EVALUATION OF JUDGES COMPUTER SCORING

as used by NSWABA from 2001

1. Percentage of individual points of a judge that are accepted by the computer

If computer accepts 30% or more

OK

If computer accepts between 20% and 30%

CAUTION

If computer accepts 20% or less

WARNING

Example

Points awarded by a judge to red or blue = 20

Result

If points accepted by the computer = 6

OK

If points accepted by the computer = 5

CAUTION

if points accepted by the computer = 4

WARNING

2.  Individual score of a judge significantly above the score for the bout

If individual score is up to 350%  of  the bout score

OK

If individual score is between 350% and 400% of  the bout score

CAUTION

If individual score is 400% or more of the bout score

WARNING

Example

Accepted score of a bout = 10

Result

Individual score of judge = up to (and including)  35

OK

Individual score of judge = between 35 and 40

CAUTION

Individual score of judge = 40 or more

WARNING

3. Individual score of a judge significantly below the score for the bout

If individual score is at least 80% of the bout score

OK

If individual score is between 60% and 80% of the bout score

CAUTION

If individual score is 60% or less of the bout score

WARNING

Example

Accepted score of a bout = 10

Result

Individual score of judge = 8

OK

Individual score of judge = 7

CAUTION

Individual score of judge = 6

4. If a judge’s decision is the opposite of all four other judges

If a judge’s decision is the opposite of all four other judges

CAUTION

4 CAUTIONS = 1 WARNING; 3 WARNINGS = 5 TRIAL CARDS

Each caution is abolished after you have judged a further 30 bouts

 Automatic RSCO if any boxer is 15 points ahead when five judges are used and 20 points when only three judges are used.
